HerpFest 2025!
Feb 2025: We had a great time at HerpFest hosted by CSU Northridge. Kat, Cole, Zoe, and Daisy and Sydney all presented poster or talks. Daisy and Sydney won Best Undergrad Poster and got signed copies of the new California Amphibians and Reptiles!
We went bowling!
A nice break from studying for midterms! Sydney, Cole, and Kendall had the high scores of the night (Lauren's high score was disqualified because she had the bumpers up!)
November 2024
Kat, Sadie, Sydney, and Daisy all traveled to Phoenix to attend the NDiSTEM conference (with their travel and lodging fully covered by SACNAS!). Kat and Sadie presented their research projects.
Sadie also presented the following week at the California Central Coast Chapter of the Wildlife Society here in SLO!
July 2024
Lauren presented some of her sabbatical research at the Evolution Meeting in Montreal. This work was supported by an NSF Research Opportunity Award and uses individual-based simulation models in SLiM to explore the conditions that can result in continuous phenotypic variation in the absence of ecological selection.

The Frost Summer Undergraduate Resaerch Program has started! Sadie, Kat, Daisy, and Sydney are working on a variety of projects in the lab this summer including work with Northern Red-legged frogs, California Newts, and Dunes Sagebrush Lizard. It's an awesome group!

Rachel, Greg, and Lauren got the chance to sample on San Miguel Island, the western-most island of California's Channel Islands! By helicopter!
